The Full Story

Downtown Dueling Duplex

The idea for the customers design was to have 2 distinct feels for the bugalows and turn the carport into a centralized Gameroom. "Imagine heaven and hell with purgatory in the middle" was the vibe. We knew we wanted to play off of the the classic 100 year old appeal, with some speakeasy flare. Bright bohemian was the vibe we were going for in the back house. And the Gameroom....Approachable chaos

Both spaces were very small we needed to really visually stretch the space. This picture is from the back dining area looking to the front of the house.

Adding a wetbar and so modern flare really made this kitchen speak to us.

We wanted to create a lounge feel in the dining nook.

A custom bench and buffet allowed us to keep this space open while adding seating.

This was a rough loook but we could tell there were good bones.

We really enjoyed refinishing this 100 year old rustic paneling to contrast with the black and gold shwanky backsplash.

This old carport had a bright future. In between both bugalows seemed like a perfect place for a gameroom and extra bathroom.

Our vision was for this room to be the anchor point for the two bugalows.

We added a climate control unit and a beverage frig to make sure this room was enjoyable all summer long.

Since this space was small we really wanted to make sure it flowed.

This was a more chill bohemian vibe. Since the room was originally so bright we wanted to make sure it felt bright and airy.

We really needed to brighten this space and add more storage. We also needed to increase the flow in this space.

By adding an island we were able to open the space up without losing valuable storage space.
